First a thick and ominous fog descended on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, and then ghouls, ghosts, zombies and all kinds of monsters took to the streets.
Nothing to worry about, however. Just Kyivans who are excited for Halloween putting on their best costumes and makeup to take part in the capital’s annual Zombie Parade.
In anticipation of Halloween, more than 100 people gathered by the monument to Yaroslav the Wise at the Golden Gate subway station on Oct. 26 to shuffle, shamble and march through the city in a variety of cool and creepy costumes.
Women, men and children came wearing the garb of zombies, ghosts, witches, killer clowns, and other evil spirits in honor of the ancient autumn festival.
The creepy but good-natured event ended without any problems, and most participants and bystanders were able to escape without being eaten by zombies.
