Heavy snow blanketed Kyiv on Feb. 8, grinding life in the capital to a crawl. Roads throughout Kyiv became paralyzed with traffic and flights in Kyiv Boryspil International Airport were delayed. The city’s snowplows worked nonstop through the night and morning of Feb. 9, as the snow continued to fall.
Up to 20 centimeters is expected to cover Kyiv, according to multiple online forecasts. Seven oblasts were forced to limit freight traffic due to the snowfall.
