Thousands of individuals entrepreneurs gathered in front of the Ukrainian parliament on Dec. 1 to call for an end to pressure on small and medium-sized business and demand the government rescind a draft law that would cancel the simplified tax system.
Small and medium-sized enterprises are already suffering after three weeks of a so-called “weekend lockdown,” which requires non-essential businesses to close down on Saturdays and Sundays. Now, the government is contemplating imposing another full lockdown to stem the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine.
