Kyiv's Truchaniv Island welcomed a very unusual festival on July 19 - 20. “Intim Fest”, the First international festival of sexology and relationships, offered some sixty master-classes just in two days. This might look overwhelming at first sight. But organizers did a good job at managing the vast flow of information. The structure of this event was made the way that each participant could visit up to six master-classes of their own choice. Each coach had only few minutes to present their chosen topic before each master class.
Some master classes were quite modest, talking about recipes for success and explaining general family psychology and looking more like commercial promos for some expensive sex schools, others dealt with spicier matters.
The master class which revealed the secrets of a female orgasm turned out to be the most popular. Anton Ivanenko, one of the participants, liked the class with a seductive name “Turn your head off, and your orgasm on” as he said there was not
only theory and talking but also practical exercises.
However organizers say they kept the lid on sex during master classes by design – they didn’t want to create the wrong
image of the event and seem vulgar. “Here we also have families with kids,” said Valeriys Talan, an organizer. The majority of
participants came there as couples. But there were plenty of single participants also.
Besides the official program organizers prepared a number of bonuses, for example, a real wedding. The bride and groom chose to come and
celebrate their nuptials at the festival, where they had their first dance on
the stage.
Two swimming-pools and a beach mostly stood idle as it rained frequently. However, the rain failed to spoil the
atmosphere.
