On June 1 and 2 hundreds of Kyivans flocked to Ukrainian House to take part in celebrations dedicated to the Day of the Italian republic, an official Italian holiday.
Organized by the Italian chamber of commerce for the second time in Ukraine, this year the
event brought together dozens of Italian cheese, ham and wine producers, jewelry makers
as well as Italian modern artist Vittorio Varro.
The visitors were able to try traditional Italian
parmesan, jamon and prosciutto as well as wines and beers.
Everything was also available for sale. Apart from the fair, a series of art master
classes was held by Vittorio Varro. Together with a group of Italian
students, he made four art works to be sold for charity.
