Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko meets with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in Moscow on April 29, 2009, to discuss the controversial 10-year natural gas contract reached in January. Tymoshenko also survived a no-confidence vote in parliament this year. But the inability of Yushchenko and Tymoshenko to work together paved the way for the election of Viktor Yanukovych in the 2010 presidential election.
