The Kyiv Post hosted a pre-Independence Day reception to thank advertisers and donors on Aug. 18, 2021, two days ahead of the newspaper’s publication of a special 36-page edition devoted to the 30th anniversary of Ukrainian statehood.

Dozens of guests enjoyed the music of the Urban Gypsy band, watched a vyshyvanka fashion show performed by Narodniy Dim Ukraine, and participated in a lottery of prizes. Winner Group Ukraine was the event’s exclusive sponsor.

The event took place at the Creative State of Arsenal in Kyiv.

“Sometimes we need to take a break from work and thank the people and companies who make the Kyiv Post’s work possible with their advertising and subscriptions,” said Kyiv Post chief editor Brian Bonner. “Independent Ukraine needs independent journalism and for the last 26 years, the Kyiv Post has been that independent voice — Ukraine’s Global Voice in the English language.”
