The five-star Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv, with 258 rooms and located on the Dnipro River bank at 1A Naberezhno-Khreschatytska Street in Kyiv, officially opened on March 27. It is the first hotel of the chain in Eastern Europe and started accepting reservations on March 14. The 12-story building has 54 suites, including presidential and royal apartments. The hotel has restaurants, bars, a SPA center with a fitness center, conference halls, a ballroom and atrium. The project was realized by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Kyiv-based Yaroslaviv Val LLC. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, unites over 60 luxury hotels and resorts all over the world. The Fairmont chain includes the Savoy Hotel in London, the Plaza in New York and the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai. (Kostyantyn Chernichkin)
