Security Service of Ukraine holds anti-terrorism training in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine, the law enforcement agency known as SBU, held anti-terrorism training in Kyiv on Oct. 16. The exercises were arranged in cooperation with the Israeli Embassy in Ukraine, the National Police and local rescue services. According to the training, unknown terrorists kidnapped the ambassador of Israeli in Ukraine, held him hostage and made political demands. Meanwhile, the terrorists’ associates set up an explosive outside of the Israeli Embassy.

The exercises were aimed to give Ukrainian law enforcement an opportunity to practice coordination among different forces, upgrade tactical skills and improve communication between among the SBU, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and foreign diplomatic missions.
