Shakhtar Donetsk beats Real Madrid at Olympic Stadium in Kyiv

Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Real Madrid 2-0 on Matchday 5 of this year’s Champions League group stage. The game in Kyiv took place in an empty stadium because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Shakhtar will play its last game in the group stage on Dec. 9 in Milan, Italy, against Internazionale. The two teams tied in their first game in Kyiv. The Ukrainian team may proceed to the knockout round of the UEFA Champions League if the club wins or draws in the upcoming match.
