On Sept. 20, Salans celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Kyiv office. Salans was one of the first international law firms that started operations in Ukraine. Salans lawyers began advising the first international investors in post-Soviet countries in 1988, and the firm officially opened its office in Kyiv in 1992.

Anniversary Charity Reception took place in the Art Arsenal (Mystetskyy
Arsenal) in Kyiv, well-known museum and one of Ukraine’s leading centres
for culture and art,
whose development is supported by Salans Kyiv.

Salans’ global managing partner, and Oleg Batyuk, Salans’ Kyiv managing partner, greeted the guests at the opening of the reception and a
brilliant concert programme followed, which included
classical music played by the academic symphonic orchestra and opera
arias by the famous Ukrainian singer Jamala, accompanied by the
symphonic orchestra. Jamala also presented her jazz program for the
guests, with a children’s choir as a finale.
The event gathered
representatives of leading multinationals and large Ukrainian companies,
banks and investment funds, foreign embassies to Ukraine, as well as
business associations and international chambers
of commerce in Ukraine. Lawyers from Salans’ international offices were
present in Kyiv to congratulate their Kyiv colleagues on 20 years of
success in the Ukrainian market.
