On Feb. 18,  2020, Ukrainian and American veterans wounded in combat came together for a workshop held at Kyiv’s Olympic Training Center. The workshop was designed to help the Ukrainian team members training for the 2020 Invictus Games prepare to compete in adaptive sports that include wheelchair basketball, archery, floor volleyball and indoor rowing.

Founded in 2014 by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, the Invictus Games (Latin for unconquered) is a competition for wounded servicemembers and veterans. In May 2020, the Ukrainian Invictus Team will compete in nine sports against soldiers from 19 countries in the Hague, Netherlands.
