On Nov. 28, 2020, the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine commemorates victims of Holodomor, an artificial famine imposed by the Soviet authorities that killed millions of Ukrainians in 1932-1933. This day is also for commemoration of victims of the famines of 1921-1923 and 1946-1947.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine, several hundred people came to put candles and flowers at the Holodomor Memorial in central Kyiv.
