Ukraine’s soccer team beats Portugal, qualifies for Euro 2020

Ukraine’s soccer team won 2:1 over Portugal in a home game at Olymiyskiy stadium in Kyiv, on Oct. 14, and qualified to the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship. Ukraine’s striker Roman Yaremchuk opened the score on the 6th minute, with Andriy Yarmolenko doubling the score midway through the first half. After the break, Ukraine’s soccer team player Taras Stepanenko was ejected from the field and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo cut Ukraine’s lead in half by scoring a penalty kick on the 72nd minute. Ukraine was able to hold on to the score winning it’s qualifying group ahead of time.
