Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina, who won the Rogers Cup on Aug. 13, will participate in the U.S. Open, which started on Aug. 28 and will last until Sept. 10 in New York. Svitolin defeated Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki to win the Rogers Cup on Aug. 13 in Toronto, Canada. The Kharkiv-born Svitolina, 22, the first woman to win three events at the elite Premier 5 (WTA) level in the same year. This is Svitolina’s fifth title in 2017.

Svitolina ‘s first match is at 6 p.m. (EST) on Aug. 29 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City against Kateřina Siniaková of the Czech Republic.
