Ukrainian Fashion Week, the country’s main platform for promoting its vogue sartorial talents, took place right on schedule on Sept. 2-5.

The event continued its “no season” format, inviting designers to present new clothes for any time of year. It was also broadcast live, given the persistent travel limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 32 brands, including Arutiunova, Dzhus and Roussin, showcased their collections through 40 shows. The event also hosted Ukraine’s fourth Be Sustainable! Fashion Summit and the final stage of a competition of young Ukrainian designers.

The first Ukrainian Fashion Week was held in November 1997 and has since been held twice per year. The organizers call it “a driving force of the Ukrainian fashion industry, a place where Ukrainian fashion becomes global.”
