A group of young Ukrainians joined the global eco-protest movement Fridays for Future and rallied near the Cabinet of Ministers headquarters on March 19, 2021. They demanded that the government and city authorities take action against climate change.
Fridays for Future is a movement that began in August 2018, after then 15-year-old Greta Thunberg and other young activists sat in front of the Swedish parliament every school day for three weeks, to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis.
