Seven years ago, over 100 people were killed during the EuroMaidan Revolution that ousted former President Viktor Yanukovych, which led to him fleeing the country.
The victims became known as the Heavenly Hundred, heroes of Ukraine.
On Feb. 18, the capital prepared to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the protesters’ march on the Verkhovna Rada and the police’s fatal attacks on the demonstrators. People gathered near the monument to the Heavenly Hundred in central Kyiv to pay their respects.
