Ukrainians protest the use of fur in fashion (PHOTOS)

Around 150 activists gathered in central Kyiv on Feb. 24 to protest against the use of natural fur in the fashion industry.

The demonstrators demanded that the Ukrainian parliament pass a draft law that prohibiting the production of fur for clothing in Ukraine.

The Kyiv demonstration was one of many held in large cities across the country as part of the all-Ukrainian “Take off fur forever” animal rights protest. Similar protests were held in Odesa, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, and Poltava.
