Oleksandr Cherkas is one of Ukraine’s best teachers — and he has the awards to prove it. He brings creativity and innovation into the classroom, hoping to help Ukraine break from its outdated educational system. But educating the next generation of Ukrainians isn’t easy, particularly when other teachers and the school administration are set in their old ways.
