Since 1991, when Ukraine gained independence from the Soviet Union, more than 50 journalists have been killed across the country. Most of the crimes have been poorly investigated and the killers remain unpunished. Kyiv Post’s “Dying for Truth” film tells the stories of some of the journalists who have been murdered, and those who are still breaking big stories despite the known risks.
