Seven years ago, on  Feb. 18-24, 2014, during the most intense confrontation of the EuroMaidan Revolution, dozens of protesters were killed in the center of Kyiv. After that, then-President Viktor Yanukovych, whose resignation the protesters demanded, fled Ukraine for Russia. Simultaneously, a stealthy Russian occupation of Crimea was ongoing; shortly thereafter, Russia fanned the flames of war in Donbas.
