Ukraine is suffering its worst coronavirus wave since the start of the pandemic.

President Zelensky issued a decree on April 4 ordering the development of a national vaccination plan.  Ukraine started vaccinating its population against COVID-19 over a month ago, but many of Ukraine’s most vulnerable are critical of vaccines and may refuse the jab. To complicate matters, Ukraine’s painfully slow vaccination efforts, as of April 11, have seen only five Ukrainians receive the required two doses of the vaccines available in the country.
