Luzer Twersky left the New York hasidic community where he grew up at the age of 25. After he left the community, he eventually became an actor.
In 2020, Luzer was cast in the Ukrainian movie “Dovbush”. In the film, Twersrky plays the role of his ancestor – Baal Shem Tov.
