This year marks the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. However, the parliamentarians did not have much time to celebrate, as the week kicked off with the debate on the question of Russia’s return to the organization. The majority voted in favor in light of Russia’s two-year pay freeze on the contributions.
