HURI: Narrating everyday life in Nazi-occupied Kyiv

Viktoria Kolosova (1923–2010), a prominent Ukrainian literary scholar, kept a diary as a young woman in 1940–1945. Those notes (now in print by the Kharkiv Prava lyudyny publishing house) have never before been been used by scholars. In this talk, Andrii Portnov will introduce this source and put it into context of other auto-biographical documents from Nazi-occupied Kyiv. Portnov is a professor of Entangled History of Ukraine, European University Viadrina (Frankfurt/Oder)
