Kyiv commemorates victims of the 1932-1933 Holodomor (VIDEO)

On Nov. 24, Kyiv honored victims of the Holodomor, the genocide of 1932-1933 that killed at least 3.9 million Ukrainians.

In sub-freezing temperatures, people came to the Memorial Sign of the Victims of the Holodomor on Mykhailivska Square. They carried Ukrainian flags and lit candles in memory of those starved to death.
