Riders hail return of Kyiv metro after longest shutdown in its history

To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Kyiv government shut down the city’s metro system for two and a half months. It was the longest break in the Kyiv subway’s history.

On May 26, the metro system reopened. The Kyiv Post spoke to a metro worker and passengers to find out why they love the Kyiv subway and how it feels to have it back.
