Mariupol was occupied by Russian hybrid forces for almost 2 months. On June 13th, 2014, in the early morning hours, Ukrainian servicemen, volunteers, the National Guard and special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs began a liberation operation. By evening, Ukrainian flags were raised in the city.
