Ukraine's 30th Year of Independence
30 years ago, on August 24, 1991, the MPs of the parliament of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic adopted the Act of proclamation of Independence of Ukraine. Immediately after that, the national flag was brought into the parliament hall, and the country entered a new stage in its history. However, this event was preceded by years of political struggle.
