UA.TV: Do Russian speakers need Kremlin protection in Ukraine?

For more than 5 years, the Kremlin has been pushing the narrative that it was forced to defend Russian speakers in Ukraine. This rhetoric was the pretext for Moscow’s annexation of Crimea and the deployment of its forces in the Donbas. Almost 6 years of war have passed, and the Kremlin continues to use this myth at every given chance. It is then interesting to know why so many Russian speakers in Ukraine switch to Ukrainian.
