The people of the European Union have voted and the preliminary results are in. Pro-EU parties have held on to two-thirds of the 751 seats, the centrists that traditionally govern the parliament have lost their combined majority. While the liberal and green parties matched a surge by eurosceptic parties, who won control of a quarter of seats in European elections for the first time. Nationalist forces gained some ground, but face an uphill task to unite behind common goals. Valeriy Kravchenko, international politics expert, knows more.
