“Freedom for Vitaliy Markiv”. With this slogan Ukrainians came out to protest in Kyiv. About 300 activists gathered outside the Italian embassy in the Ukrainian capital. They disagree with the verdict of an Italian court, which found Markiv guilty of the murder of an Italian journalist in the Donbas conflict zone, and demanded his immediate release. The rally participants brought 24 empty pizza boxes to the diplomatic mission. The protesters said they symbolize the empty accusations against Markiv.
