Since the time of illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia, its mass media outlets have been continually imposing on its own population and the world community the viewpoint of alleged “restoration of historical justice and return of Russian ancestral lands to Moscow”. But as history shows, the thesis about Russian “primordialness” is not a basic one. Because, since the 12th century BC, more than ten nations and peoples have inhabited the Crimean peninsula. So who does Crimea really belong to? Can we, guided by the principle of “historical law”, ignore the principles of international law?
