Every year, on Jan. 19, people throughout eastern Europe brave icy cold water in a centuries-old tradition. In Ukraine it is known as Vodokhreshcha. This morning, American and Ukrainian staffers from Embassy Kyiv gathered their courage, towels, and swimsuits and took the plunge.
