Highlights of Pompeo’s visit to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during the latter’s Jan. 31 visit to Kyiv. The two men discussed Ukraine’s progress on reforms, the development of infrastructure and trade relations between their countries. Pompeo praised Ukraine during the visit, despite reportedly making comments derisive of the country to an American journalist a week earlier.
