You're reading: Liovochkin appointed head of Ukrainian presidential administration

Serhiy Liovochkin has been appointed head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, deputy head of the Regions Party Hanna Herman has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to her, President Viktor Yanukovych has already signed a relevant decree.

Liovochkin, born in 1972, is member of current parliament and a deputy head of the Regions Party, which is led by Yanukovych. In 2006-2007, was headed the office of then Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych.

Yanukovych has also signed a decree renaming the Presidential Secretariat as the Presidential Administration.

MP Iryna Akimova was appointed deputy head of the new Presidential Administration. Herman herself has become deputy head of the Presidential Administration in charge of internal policy and public relations.
