On 18 June, a footage emerged on YouTube showing men clad in military uniform without insignia who were driving military trucks and other equipment in a winter environment. Twitter user panzerQQ who shared the video annotated on Twitter, that it was filmed by the contractors of the Russian private military company (PMC) “Wagner” in Ukraine in January 2015. The video seems to prove that Russia deployed “Wagner” against Ukrainian forces during the crucial Debaltseve battle.
