In Ternova village, Kharkiv region, soldiers of the region’s Azov special operational force (SOF) destroyed a Russian checkpoint, a warehouse with ammunition, and seven Russian invaders. The news was reported by Anatoliy Sydorenko, commander of the Azov Kharkiv SOF via Telegram.

“In the eastern part of the village of Ternova, Kharkiv region, the fighters of the Azov Kharkiv SOF destroyed two cars, two infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), a control and observation point, a warehouse and seven units of the enemy’s manpower,” the message reads.

On Aug. 15 at 8:00 a.m. in the Donetsk region, a unit of anti-aircraft missile forces of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter.

This follows an attack at 2.50 a.m. the same day, which saw Russian invaders shell the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv, hitting the territory of a local enterprise, reported the city’s mayor Ihor Terekhov via Telegram.

A few days earlier on Aug. 12, the Russian invaders shelled three city districts in the region, including Slobidsky, Kyivsky and Novobavarsky.

Columns of the Russian military vehicles, which sought to capture Kharkiv in February, became disorientated by the topography and traveled in the opposite direction from the regional center. They were defeated by the 92nd and 93rd brigades of the Ukrainian army’s ground forces.

Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi border community, provided details in an interview with the Kharkiv Press Club. “At 6 a.m. on Feb. 24, the armed forces went to [confront] the enemy, and a battle began near Kozacha Lopan. Ukrainian defenders defeated the first column of invaders, who retreated to the city of Derhachi.”
