You're reading: Draft state budget-2022 provides for increase in funding for Ministry of Sports by 2%

The draft state budget for 2022 provides for an increase in funding for the Ministry of Youth and Sports by 1.9%, or Hr 137.8 million compared to 2021.

This is reported in the draft law No. 6000 of Sept. 15, 2021.

In particular, out of Hr 7.169 billion of the proposed funding, it is proposed to allocate Hr 109.1 million for leadership and management in the field of youth and sports, Hr 15.9 million for scientific and scientific-technical activities in the field of youth and sports, Hr 79.9 million for the implementation of state policy measures on youth issues and state support for youth and children’s public organizations, Hr 1 billion for the development of sports among persons with disabilities and their physical rehabilitation, and Hr 1.5 billion for the training and participation of national teams in the Paralympic Games and the Deaflympics, Hr 3.6 billion for the development of physical culture, high-achievement sports and reserve sports, Hr 68.5 million for the financial support of public associations of physical culture and sports, Hr 159.8 million for the training and participation of national teams of Ukraine in international competitions, which are held by the International, European Olympic Committees, including the Olympic Games, and the World Games, and Hr 25.2 million – for the development of sports medicine.

As reported, on Sept. 15, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved and sent to the Verkhovna Rada a draft state budget for 2022.
