Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and President of Real Madrid Florentino Perez have discussed possible ways of intensifying interaction between the two countries in the sports industry, the press service of the head of the Ukrainian state has reported.

“The sides discussed possible ways of intensifying interaction between Ukraine and Spain in the field of sports,” the presidential press service reported on June 4.

In addition, Perez noted the high organizational level provided by Ukraine during the final matches of the men’s and women’s Champions League, as well as a positive atmosphere in Kyiv, which also contributed to the Spanish club’s victory.

Poroshenko, in turn, congratulated Real’s management on a historic victory – winning the 13th European Cup/Champions League title.

Peres presented Poroshenko with a T-shirt of the club with the No. 1 and the surname “Poroshenko.”
