Ukrainian tennis player Svitolina reaches 1/8 finals at Tokyo Olympics

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina defeated Australian Ajla Tomljanovi in the second round at the Tokyo Olympics.

“Elina Svitolina won the second round at the Tokyo Olympics over Australian Ajla Tomljanovi, 4:6; 6:3; 6:4. Thus, the first racket of Ukraine reached the 1/8 finals,” the Ukrainian Tennis Federation said on Facebook.

The 2020 Olympics officially kicked off on July 23 and will run until Aug. 8.
