Ukrainian tennis players, sisters Liudmyla and Nadia Kichenok managed to get into the quarterfinals of the doubles tournament at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

According to the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC), after the victory over the duet from India Sania Mirza/Ankita Raina 0:6, 7:6 (0), 10:8 in the first round of the competition, Ukrainian athletes successfully overcame the second round.

“The Kichenok sisters overcame the favorites of the match, the representatives of Italy Sara Errani/Jasmine Paolini with 7:6 (7:4), 6:2,” the committee said in the statement.
