Representatives of PrivatBank and Google on Nov. 1 are to hold a presentation of the launch of Android Pay technology in Ukraine, a possibility of paying using smartphones via POS terminals with the preliminary pegging to the digital “wallet” of bank cards.
According to the announcement, representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine and international payment systems would participate in the presentation.
The financial institution recalled that at present, Android Pay launched by Google in 2015 is available in 14 developed countries.
Some users of smartphones in Ukraine said that they have already available the Android Pay application from Google in the Play Market application store.
