Five Ukrainian start-ups are set to strut their stuff at the CES event in Las Vegas – marketed as “the most influential tech event in the world”.
It’s the chance of a lifetime for five of Ukraine’s leading start-up ventures, which are offering a variety of products.
They are part of over 2200 exhibitors at CES 2022 – one of the world’s leading tech expos.
The companies will showcase their wares to some of the world’s most influential audiences, including nearly 200 of the globe’s Fortune 500 companies and media from over 150 different countries.
“The Ukrainian #DreamTeam is ready to impress the exhibition and the world!“
writes the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UCVA) on social media.
The Ukrainian companies offer varied products – from a portable VPN modem and eco-friendly batteries to a portable cinema and eco-friendly, high-end models. Apart from being Ukrainian, what they all have in common is enormous growth potential.
After the tech "Super Bowl," instead of heading to Disneyland, the companies will visit California’s Silicon Valley, where they’ll meet with investors and members of Ukraine’s tech community, including a visit to UVCA.
Take a closer look at Ukraine’s team at CES 2022:
nect
Founded in 2018, nect is a portable 4G modem that combines high-speed internet with the security of a VPN modem.
“It’s elegant,” the company says, describing the modem. “You stick it into your laptop and this sexy modem gets you online fast while keeping your connection safe from intruders.”
Recoshelf
An Estonian start-up headed by Ukraine’s Mykyta Holubakha and several other Ukrainians, Recoshelf offers retailers a high-tech way to monitor shelf space to sell more. Using AI and IoT tech, R2coshelf helps companies to continuously monitor shelf space while increasing product turnover.
“Manual audits are slow, expensive, and error-prone.” says the company. “We empower you to sell more using continuous shelf monitoring.”
Sorbsys
Sorbsys, based out of Ivano-Frankivsk’s Clean Energy Technologies R&D Centre, has developed revolutionary eco-friendly batteries. Enlisting scientists and engineers from across Ukraine, the team uses seawater and agricultural waste to safe, inexpensive, and green batteries.
“Sorbys batteries are a rule-changing set of technologies in the energy storage market,” the company explains. “[They] solve most of the existing problems of modern energy storage devices [and] the cost of one cycle is dramatically less than existing lithium-ion batteries,” it adds.
Time for Machine
If you’re looking for gorgeous, state-of-the-art mechanical metal models, then Time for Machine, from Sumy’s Denys Okhrimenko, is definitely for you. Using natural wood, steel, and rubber, the environmentally-friendly models are both easy-to-assemble – and fun!
“We offer you [the chance] to become a real magician”, says the company in its advertising, “and play the final chord of this magic symphony [by] assembling the model with your own hands.”
Wider MultiVision
If your business is looking to up its game in content presentation, then Wider MultiVision could be the answer. A portable, panoramic projection monoblock will give your presentation a cinematic feel. Useful for education, advertising, online meetings, gaming, and other industries.
“An all-in-one solution for visualization,” is how the company describes the technology. “The Wider MultiVision system is a business solution for collective interactive collaboration, data monitoring, outstanding presentations, immersive video call experiences, and advertising needs.”
