The situation on Ukraine’s borders remained stable on the morning of Feb. 16 and nothing unexpected was happening, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said appearing on a special telethon dedicated to the Day of Unity.

Reznikov said that Ukraine’s intelligence services monitor everything, and Ukraine is in constant contact with partners and ready for any scenario.

He reminded that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who number around 260,000 personnel, are the basis of the country's defense.

President Zelensky signed an order on Feb. 14 establishing Feb. 16 as the Day of Unity in Ukraine, which is being marked for the first time in Ukraine.

State broadcaster Pershiy Natsionalny aired a telethon with the hashtag #UAразом trending.
