The law No.2409-VIII, which enhances social protection of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship in Ukraine, took effect. It specifically concerns the foreigners serving with the Ukrainian army.
The document submits several specific changes to the Law on the Military Service; according to these amendments, if a foreign citizen who serves with the Armed Forces dies or gets crippled in action (with total or partial incapacitation), his family gets the one-time assistance from the government – just like Ukrainian citizens serving in the army.
