Crimea-born Oleksandr Kolchenko who announced a hunger strike in the Russian penal colony, currently faces psychological pressure and blackmail, as the colony’s administration is making him assume Russian citizenship. His mother Larysa Kolchenko told this Krym.Realii outlet.

‘First, they tell him how bad it is living in Ukraine and how great it is in Russia; then, they openly blackmail him, telling him that he needs to assume the citizenship…And then they want him to put his signature in the Russian passport’, she said.
