Ukraine’s electronic system of public procurement monitoring, ProZorro, has blocked one of the three participants in the tender on purchasing TV and radio equipment. According to RBC-Ukraine news agency, the system denied the purchase operation because the respective offer was declined.
According to ProZorro, managers of Rada TV channel apparently tried to spend 700,000 U.S. dollars on the equipment, which was in break of the Ukrainian law. Respective articles of the law on public procurements say that the customer is not allowed to set discriminative requirements for the participants; besides, tender documentation should not contain any requirements limiting economic competitiveness.
