On May 6, on the territory of Chervonohradsky and Drohobychsky districts (Lviv region), two mobile teams for responding to the facts of domestic violence were launched, the police of Lviv region reported.
“The main tasks of such groups are combating and preventing domestic violence in all its manifestations, informing victims of violence about their rights and social services that they can use, issuing urgent restraining orders, bringing offenders to administrative or criminal liability, conducting preventive work with offenders and the like,” the message posted on Facebook said.
It also notes that the first mobile domestic violence response teams in the region were created in Lviv on Nov. 26, 2019.
